For months now President Obama has been out on the campaign trail attempting to rally support
prior to November’s mid-term elections. Democratic candidates are avoiding Obama as if he has
the plague. Bill White refused to campaign with him in
Texas, Roy Barnes, Jim Marshall, John
Barrow, John Lewis, and Hank Johnson refused appearances in
Georgia, and the stories go on
and on.

Across the country, Democrat candidates are not running on the merits of the legislation the
passed. In fact they are doing their best to avoid discussing healthcare, the stimulus, and Wall
Street reform. According to
Joe Biden, who always seems to have his foot in his mouth, it is too
difficult to explain the legislation to the people and that’s why they are not campaigning on their
successes. That’s right Joe, we’re all to stupid to understand, thank God we have people as smart
as you in Washington (tongue planted firmly in cheek).

To further exasperate things, the president has been
heckled by members of his own party at
several of his recent campaign appearances. Over the weekend
Obama visibly lost his cool when
AIDS protestors kept interrupting his speech in Massachusetts. After regaining his composure, the
president said that we have increased AIDS funding and if they win, they will cut AIDS funding. I
guess the president forgot that President Bush
tripled AIDS funding while he was in office but why
should he stop lying now, it has been working so well for him.
The thrill is gone! President Obama ratchets up efforts to draw teen voters

As working class Americans flee the Democrats, President Obama is attempting to rekindle the magic and re-energize the youth vote. The
president has been speaking almost exclusively on college campuses in recent weeks; stops have included
George Washington University, Ohio
State, and the University of Wisconsin amongst many others. The strategy that worked so well for the Obama team during the 2008 election,
attracting over 15 million new voters under the age of 30. However, Obama is having a hard time filling seats at many events, so much so that
Organizing for America has taken to emailing students in an attempt to fill seats.

Obama won sixty-eight percent of the votes amongst voters under thirty, which most experts attribute to his victory in 2008, and he is clearly
targeting them again now. But in a recent
poll by Rice University, only 3.5 percent of Houston residents between eighteen and twenty-five intend to
vote in the mid-term election. With Houston being the fourth largest metro area in America, this does not bode well for Democrats if this trend
holds true for the rest of the country.

Over the weekend the president conducted a town hall meeting targeted at youth voters. The president was asked softball questions by the
audience which was hand selected by MTV. The questions were likely either screened or scripted as well, and most reports were lukewarm
regarding the president’s performance. The hour long even was aired over the internet, MTV, BET, and CMT – all of which are all owned by
Viacom, who donated the free air time.

Recently in New York, a long time Democrat stronghold, Obama was set to speak at a fundraiser for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
Ticket
sales were so poor that Democrats resorted to selling $500.00 tickets for as low as $50.00 in a desperate attempt to fill the room.

It is clear that the thrill is gone from the once enigmatic President Obama. He is struggling to fill rooms in traditional Democrat bastions, he is
being heckled by his own party, and candidates are doing everything in their power to distance themselves from Obama.

While this portends well for the GOP; Republicans cannot rest on their laurels. It is of vital importance to get to the polls, cast your ballot, and stop
the liberal onslaught that has been released upon America. Remember that many elections are won by just a few votes and your vote makes a
difference.
