Let's keep our eyes on the prize

With only forty-two days until the midterm election it is important that we keep our eyes on the prize and
not become distracted by the media onslaught that is taking place. To put it into military parlance, what
we’re seeing right now is just the opening salvos of artillery, designed to weaken our resolve before
they launch their all out assault in the last few weeks before the election.
The media is full of stories about how the Republican Party is in the midst of a civil war and that it has
been hijacked by right wing extremists. They are right about one thing, there is a civil war occurring but it
is for the country not the Republican Party. America and parts of the Republican Party have been
hijacked by left wing extremists and the battle is being waged by common, everyday patriots to defeat
the radical left and return America back to her founding principals.
Radical liberals have not only infiltrated the Republican Party but nearly every facet of America - from the
education system and the media to the military and our government.
Supposed conservative talking heads like Karl Rove went on the war path last week lambasting Rush,
Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and others for supporting Christine O’Donnell in Delaware’s primary. Rove
did little more than show himself to be a Republican in name only (RINO) just like Mike Castle who was
soundly defeated by O’Donnell. Castle lost this election because his voting record was more in line
with Obama, Pelosi, and Reid than with his constituents.
Rove and George W. Bush led the Republican ascendancy at the beginning of the decade but it was not
a conservative ascendancy. Most conservatives find little fault with Bush’s first four years in office,
however, the same cannot be said for his second term. Bush, Rove and a Republican controlled
Congress began to spend money like liberals and proved themselves to be Rino's.
What we’re seeing now is a culling of the herd and it should serve as a wake up call to people like
Lindsay Graham, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins – if you don’t start acting in America’s best
interest and listening to the will of the people, you can and will be replaced.
Don’t let the rhetoric from the left distract you from what needs to be done in November. Don’t be fooled
into thinking that you’re a bad person or a racist for having moral conviction and supporting the
Constitution.
This fight has only just begun and there are sure to be trying days as we press on. This weekend
speaking to the Congressional Black Caucus, the president urged black leaders to “guard the change”
that he’s implementing. Evidently the president is hell bent on defending the near record
unemployment and poverty he has created. That should tell you everything you need to know about this
man and his party. They plan to usher in the complete and total destruction of the American dream and
way of life so that it can be replaced with his socialist agenda.
The president is trying to rally the same troops that ushered him into office, "I need everybody here to go
back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty
shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can't wait to organize. Tell them that the time
for action is now.”
The left is preparing for battle and we must do the same. Don’t become discouraged because the vitriol
from the left is sure to get worse in the days and weeks ahead. Take comfort in knowing that the
American people now hold the high ground and that you are not fighting the battle alone. We have the
enemies of liberty on the run and must press the attack. If we all do our part in November, we can
effectively neuter this administration for the remainder of its term.
