Freedom on The Brink - March 22, 2010
I hardly slept last night after the Democrats successfully rammed socialized health care down the American people's collective
throats. I went through a good chunk of Monday in a caffeine induced daze but as the day wore on, I realized all is still not lost.
Freedom may be on the brink but I believe that the Democrats have done little more than awaken a sleeping giant.
Never in my lifetime have I seen conservatives so motivated. It is inspiring to see my fellow Americans so engaged in the political
process. Tea parties are occurring across the country, I receive emails on a daily basis with people asking how they can get
involved. Right now is the time where we must double down and stay engaged. It would be easy for us to slink away and nurse our
wounds but the Democrats are going to attempt to capitalize on their momentum and push the next issue.
Can you guess what that is? Immigration reform is our next battle field and it is imperative that we regroup and keep up the fight.
The Dems are looking to secure elections for the next 50 years by granting amnesty to at best 11,000,000 illegal aliens and at worst
30,000,000. If they are successful in doing this, can you imagine what this can do to our system?
Just to put this in perspective, if it really does cost $1,000,000,000,000.00 to insure roughly 10% of the population (keep in mind
that every major social program has cost upwards of 7X what the CBO estimated, ie. social security & medicaid but I digress)
imagine what this does to the cost of health care.
Now imagine what this does to social security, medicaid, welfare, and so on. As it is now, 25% of the population pay 85% of the
taxes so the system will be unsustainable. One could argue that it's unsustainable now but you must look at the big picture to see
where all of this is headed. The real fight has only just begun.
Please stay engaged and keep calling, writing, and showing up at your representative's office. We cannot let immigration reform
pass!
