Arizona Does What Our Federal Government Won't

On Friday, Arizona did what our federal government won't, they passed an immigration law that allows police to actually verify someone's
citizenship. In response to this President Obama said, "Arizona's proposed law making it a state offense to be an illegal immigrant represents
"irresponsibility," and said "he's directed his administration to examine the law and see if it violates civil rights."
First, correct me if I'm wrong but it is already an offense to be an ILLEGAL immigrant, thus the word ILLEGAL. Maybe President Obama was
sick the day they taught that when he was attending law school. How does someone who is here illegally have any civil rights afforded to them
under our constitution? They don't! Yet again this administration is preparing to ram legislation down our collective throats that will grant
citizenship to an estimated 15 to 30 million illegal immigrants. According to recent Rasmussen polling:
• 67% Of Americans think illegal immigrants are a major strain on our economy.
• 68% Favor securing the border rather than granting citizenship.
• 59% Favor continued construction of a security fence.
• 68% Oppose sanctuary cities such as San Francisco.
• 49% Support cutting off federal funds to cities that provide sanctuary.
Maybe it’s just me but it seems clear to me that Americans do not want amnesty for illegals. However, President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and
Harry Reid do not care what you or I think. They are hell bent on turning America, the greatest country in history, into a socialist banana
republic.
President Obama went on to say, "Our failure to act responsibly at the federal level will only open the door to irresponsibility by others, and
that includes, for example, the recent efforts in Arizona which threaten to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans, as
well as the trust between police and our communities that is so crucial to keeping us safe."
Hello. We Americans do understand fairness and we also understand there is a way to immigrate to our country legally. As I have stated in
previously, this is about the socialist democrat’s cementing their power and destroying America. Americans understand we are a nation of
immigrants and we openly welcome those that choose to come to our great nation legally.
President Obama, who this week made phone calls to five Republicans seeking to recruit them to join in writing a bill, on Friday, called out "11
current Republican senators" who voted in the past for an immigration legalization bill, and said he is hopeful they will support the effort
again. We need to start blowing up the phones of those who voted for amnesty in 2006. (As a side note, we also need to go RINO hunting in
2010)

Freedom is under an all out assault. Americans are completely surrounded and being attacked on all fronts: Immigration, Cap & Trade, Wall
Street Reform, FCC Regulation, Record Deficits, Value Added Tax, and a Supreme Court Nominee.
We are witnessing the complete destruction of America as we know it and because we oppose it and will not go silently into the night; we are
being slandered and called racists.
If we are unable to swing the pendulum of liberty back to the right in the next two elections, I fear all will be lost. Let’s keep up the fight so that
our children and grandkids will have the same opportunities we did. After all, isn’t that what we all want, for our kids to have more than we
did?
