Mexican Government Slams Arizona Immigration Law By: Todd Kinsey - April 21,2010
The AP published and article today titled, Mexican Government Slams Arizona Immigration Law. Mexico's Foreign Relations Department said in a statement relayed through Mexico's U.S. embassy that it viewed the measure with great concern and said it "could have potentially serious effects on the civil rights" of Mexican nationals.
As far as I'm concerned the only right the "undocumented migrants" (talk about political correctness run amok) have is to be deported as quickly and humanely as possible. They are not American citizens and therefore are not entitled to the rights we, as American citizens, are afforded.
I applaud Arizona for taking a stand since our government is doing the exact opposite. The bill has cleared both houses of the Arizona Legislature and now awaits the signature of Governor Brewer. The Democrats are still considering tackling amnesty for illegals because it is unlikely that Cap & Tax (aka cap and trade) will pass in the Senate.
As I said in my post on March 22nd the end game with immigration reform is to create a new voter base for the Democratic Party. In the article referenced today, the Associated Press tries to say there are just over 11 million illegals in the United States. Well if Vegas were to publish an over-under on that one, I'd take the over in a heartbeat. Some estimates put the total at over 30 million which, if true, would likely give the Democrats an insurmountable voting base.
With nearly half the population already receiving some sort of government entitlement, granting citizenship to an additional 30 million people would likely seal our country's fate to become a permanent nanny state.
Get ready to put your gloves back on because the fight has just begun.
